This is a very music-centric 5 things, I admit. But hey, at least you've got options!

1. Go to the West Market Square Festival. 12-8 p.m. Saturday, in, uh, West Market Square. 9 bands, four fashion shows, beer tent, lots of people. Supposedly the rain will stop. It better, cause this is going to be a super fun event.

2. We've got two good local shows this weekend in Bangor: Feel It Robot and Gentleman Jerk at 9 p.m. on Friday at the Main Street Tavern, and Green & Bosse at the Sea Dog on Saturday night.

3. Carmen Verandah's back in business! Bar Harbor is heating up. Live music this weekend, starting early with a show from Jacob Cuff and Kate Zora tonight, and Big Time with Myke Billings on Saturday night.

4. DJ Kadence spins drum n' bass at the Red Martini Saturday night, post West Market Square Festival.

5. The Kave in Bucksport's got Outbreak, Miles Away, Cruel Hand and Ignorance playing at a "matinee" show at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

6. I will be playing Hannah Montana covers on the kazoo outside my house at 3 a.m. Friday night. OK, just kidding. Maybe.
